The colorpoint kittens

The development of colour in a colourpoint kitten can take several weeks to become clear.

The colorpoint kitten is often the most spectacular in terms of variation of colour, starting all white and becoming darker as it grows. They also have huge blue eyes.

Colorpoint kittens are born all white, with markings developing later.

Below, we present the evolution of one of our kittens born here at Dragonflycats, which has been very surprising for us. The pictures show her development over time.

Bee at one week

Bee at 23 days, we can see the dark rim appearing on her ears.

Bee at 5 weeks old, same marking but with darker contrast.

Bee at 7 weeks old, we can see darker spots showing up on her face.

Bee is at 9 weeks old after her moult, and we can see the undercoat spots on her skin.

The hair regrows after the moult, and the fur is now darker.

And finally, at 3.5 months old

And here at 5.5 months old

What you’re looking at is a development of a colorpoint kitten. If you were thinking of a white kitten, keep in mind that colorpoint kittens are not white.
