Devon Rex Breeder Toronto, Mississauga and Barrie
Ontario families have been asking us for years, and the answer is yes. As a Devon Rex breeder near Montreal with over 15 years of experience, DragonflyCats places kittens with families across the Greater Toronto Area and up through Barrie, and we take care of the arrangements so you don't have to figure them out alone.
Every kitten grows up in our family home alongside other cats and dogs, and leaves spayed or neutered, TICA-registered, vaccinated and microchipped, with its health records and a Royal Canin starter kit.
Devon Rex kittens for sale in Toronto, Mississauga and Barrie
Toronto is roughly 550 km from Montreal, so your kitten travels to you rather than the other way around. We prepare the paperwork and health certificates and plan the transport with you, and every detail is confirmed when you reserve. Shipping costs are extra.
The Devon Rex is one of the easiest purebred cats to live with in a dense city. It is an indoor cat by design, so a downtown condo with no balcony access is not a limitation — it is actually the safest setup. What this breed wants is height, company and something to chase, none of which requires square footage. Farther out, in Markham, Vaughan, Oakville or the newer subdivisions around Barrie and Innisfil, the same is true in a house: the Devon Rex stays inside, away from traffic and coyotes.
We welcome families from across the region, including:
- Toronto
- Mississauga
- Brampton
- Markham
- Vaughan
- Richmond Hill
- Oakville
- Burlington
- Milton
- Newmarket
- Barrie
- Innisfil
- Pickering
- Oshawa

Why a Devon Rex suits condo and apartment living
Two things make this breed work in a small space. First, it thinks vertically: a tall cat tree by a window, a shelf above the sofa and a perch near your desk give a Devon Rex more territory than most main-floor cats ever use. Second, it is genuinely interested in people. This is a cat that follows you from room to room, sits on the keyboard during a video call and greets the elevator door when you come home. If you work from a condo in Liberty Village or a townhouse in Milton, that companionship is the whole point.
The short, wavy coat helps too. A Devon Rex sheds very little, which matters when your furniture, your floors and your closet are all in the same 700 square feet. Low shedding is not the same as hypoallergenic, though — no cat is — so if anyone in the household reacts to cats, tell us before you reserve and we'll talk it through honestly.
Planning your kitten's trip to Ontario
Once your reservation is in place, we plan the journey to Ontario together. We handle the paperwork and the health certificates, keep you posted as the date approaches and confirm every arrangement in advance. Shipping costs are in addition to the price of the kitten, and the balance is due two weeks before shipping.
Your kitten arrives with its health records, its Royal Canin starter kit, its registration papers and 30 days of Trupanion insurance already active. Distance doesn't end the relationship: we stay available for questions about settling in, feeding and litter habits for as long as you need us.

Frequently asked questions
Do you place Devon Rex kittens with families in Toronto and the GTA?
Yes. We are located near Montreal and regularly place kittens with families across Ontario, from downtown Toronto and Mississauga out to Barrie. We take care of the paperwork and health certificates and plan the trip with you.
How does my kitten get to Toronto or Barrie or Sudbury?
We organize transport with you once you have reserved and we confirm all details in advance. Shipping costs are extra and the balance is due two weeks before shipping.
Is a Devon Rex a good cat for a Toronto condo?
It's one of the better choices. It's an indoor cat that needs no outdoor access, it sheds very little, and it's social enough to be genuinely good company in a small home. Give it vertical space and daily play and it will thrive.
Does a Devon Rex need a second cat if I'm out at work all day?
This breed does not like being alone for long stretches. A companion animal helps, and so does a home where someone is around part of the day. It's worth thinking through before you reserve, and we're happy to discuss your situation.
How do I reserve a Devon Rex kitten from Ontario?
You can reserve an available kitten with a 30% deposit, or join the paid waiting list ($500) for priority choice on upcoming litters, first come first served. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
