Brussels Griffon puppies for New York, from the city to Upstate

New York is a big state with very different lifestyles. In the five boroughs, many families live in apartments with elevators, doormen, busy sidewalks and neighbors on every side. A toy breed that stays small, loves being close to its people and does not need a backyard makes a lot of sense there. On Long Island and in Westchester, families often look for a small dog that fits into commuting schedules and weekend outings, while in Upstate cities like Albany, Buffalo or Syracuse, snowy winters mean a companion that is happy with shorter walks and plenty of indoor time.

Northern New York is also a close neighbor to Quebec: Plattsburgh and the North Country are only a short drive from the Canadian border, while the New York City area is a longer journey. In every case, we plan the arrival of your puppy with you, step by step, and confirm the details at reservation.

We welcome families from across the state, including:

  • New York City
  • Brooklyn
  • Queens
  • Long Island
  • Yonkers
  • White Plains
  • Albany
  • Saratoga Springs
  • Buffalo
  • Rochester
  • Syracuse
  • Ithaca
  • Plattsburgh

A big personality made for apartment life

The Brussels Griffon is a toy breed, usually around 7 to 12 lb, with an expressive, almost human face and either a rough or a smooth coat. It is often called a “velcro dog” because it loves to follow its people from room to room. That makes it a wonderful fit for city apartments and for New Yorkers who work from home part of the week: your Griffon will happily settle on the couch next to your laptop.

Because it is small, a Griffon is easy to carry in a well-fitted carrier on errands, and a few daily walks plus indoor play keep it content. Our puppies are used to household sounds, textures and gentle handling by people of all ages, which helps them adapt to a lively urban environment. Like all short-muzzled breeds, a Griffon should avoid heavy exercise on hot, humid summer days, so plan walks for the cooler hours.
